Coed Varsity Equestrian · Equestrian Finishes First at District Meet #2

Ceclia-Lundberg-300x225Ann Arbor Skyline was victorious for the second week in a row in the three meet MIHA (Michigan Interscholastic Horsemanship Association) district series scoring 193 points beating cross town rival Ann Arbor Pioneer by 88 points. Seven teams from the region participated in the B division of the meet. Skyline has scored 375 points in the first two meets outscoring their nearest opponent by 177 points.
Sophomore Madeline Turner led the scoring for the second week in a row with fifty points. Teammates Ben Erhlich (40 points), Cecilia Lundberg (38 points), Cece Simonsen (27 points) Lysette Kessler and Allie Kier (19 points each )rounded out the high powered scoring drive mounted by the Skyline Eagle Equestrians.
The third and final m
eet of the series takes place on Sunday, September 23 at the Wayne County Fairgrounds in Belleville starting at 8:30 in the morning and running until approximately 6:30 P M.
If the Eagles continue to ride as they have they will earn a trip to the MIHA Regional Championships to be held in Mason on September 28 to 30.
