Ranked second in the state by Mlive and Michigan Water Polo Association, Ann Arbor Skyline Water Polo team dominated Skyline Invitational this weekend with victory against Dexter and three of Ohio’s visiting teams: St. Xavior, St. Charles and Upper Arlington.
The visiting Ohio teams added a new dimension to the tournament with different playing styles and new challenges for Michigan Players. A nail biter game between St. Xavier and AA Skyline on Friday kept very enthusiastic cheering sections in suspense until the last 11 seconds!

|11:20 AM||AA Skyline||11||6||Upper Arlington|

“This weekend was a great experience for us.” said Varsity Coach, Rebecca Godek, “We still have a few guys out on injury that will be returning with us in the upcoming days and weeks, and it’s a very satisfying feeling to see the team stepping up and having so many people filling those roles. For the whole weekend, we were seeing all players in the pool getting involved in the plays and contributing on both ends of the pool.”
“It was fun to play some different teams as well, we had three Ohio teams make the trip up so playing teams that we don’t see often and you don’t know what to expect keeps us on our toes and always thinking, which is great practice for our post season tournaments which begin in two weeks.” Godek reported.
