Skyline High School
Pinckney High School
Early lead gives the Skyline Eagles Varsity victory over Pinckney, 9-3!
The Skyline Eagles (1-0, 0-0) jumped out to an early lead Wednesday afternoon in their season opener against the Pinckney Pirates and captured a 9-3 victory.
The game was decided quickly as the Eagles exerted their will early with seven runs in the first three innings.
A walk by Eamon Horwedel, and Dawson Horning, along with a fielder’s choice, and a steal home by Horwedel in the first inning fueled the Skyline Eagles offense early.
Nate Lasinski was solid at the plate for the Skyline Eagles Varsity. Lasinski went 2-3, drove in one and scored two runs. He doubled in the third inning and singled in the fifth inning.
Pinckney couldn’t get anything going while Senior, Marcus Kintz was on the mound. Kintz held Pinckney hitless over three innings, allowing no earned runs, walked one and struck out six.
After scoring multiple times in the first and second innings, the Eagles scored one run in each of the next three innings.
The second game never made it past the third inning therefore wont be counted as a complete game. There is currently no make up dates schedule for this second game.
