The Eagles varsity boys soccer team won three shutouts in a row this weekend, defeating a trio of high-caliber opponents en route to winning the DeLaSalle tournament.
Skyline defeated Warren DeLaSalle Collegiate High School 2-0, beat Bloomfield Hills 3-0, and finished the day with a 1-0 win over Clarkston. The victories kept the Eagles unbeaten, and extended a streak of shutouts to five games in a row.
“This past week was a great test for us, with league play intermingled with a mid-season tournament,” said head coach Chris Morgan. “The boys played well, and the clean sheets are especially pleasing, given the quality of teams we faced. It was a complete team effort, as all 25 players showed their value and importance to the team. Going into the second half of league play, we hope to stay injury free, and get better with each match.”
