Pioneer High School
Skyline High School
The Skyline soccer program had three great matches against the Ann Arbor Pioneers this evening. The freshman team won an exciting match, which was back and forth, 2-0. While JV added some fireworks of their own to the evening, scoring with 1:15 left in the 2nd half to win 2-1. The goal came from approximately 30 yards out off of a volley from Logan Roeser-Nordling. Truly a gorgeous goal…
The varsity team was in a battle of their own, as Pioneer was pressuring all evening. The Pioneers pounced on a giveaway in the Skyline defensive third, to make it 1-0 early in the second half. Skyline was able to settle in, after the goal was scored, and create some good quality scoring chances. Jordan Tirico and Jack Bakker scored the goals in the second half for Skyline, sealing the victory 2-1. Jake Hutnik went the distance in goal for Skyline.
