Game Recap

Skyline defeats Huron 63-62 in another great game that ended on a last second full court drive by Brandon Wade (after Huron’s Jack Smith missed the front end of one-and-one) that included an incredible cross over dribble near the right elbow to finish with his left hand crossing to the other side of the basket off the glass! Go see it online if you have not seen it yet! Spectacular! The game was back and forth and both teams felt victory was theirs a few different times only to have the other team respond. It was Skyline in the end with the BK drive that sealed it! Skyline missed open shot opportunities in first half that could have resulted in a solid half time lead, instead Huron had a 30-27 lead at half. Skyline took momentum in the 3rd quarter to go up 2 pts going into the 4th quarter. Huron then built a 5 point lead mid way through the 4th and Skyline battled back to win the closing seconds. Skyline played solid team defense and really battled on the boards all night. Brandon Wade finished with 17 points, 6 rebounds and 5 assists and none bigger than the 2 point game winner with 4 seconds left! Karyon Rodgers was strong all night with 15 points and 6 rebounds. Jack Ammerman heated up in the 2nd half (4 3’s) to finish with 14 points. Christian Knox (6pts), Ryan Wade (5pts), Dan Black (4 pts), DeSean Munson (2 pts) and Darius Hall all made important contributions throughout the game. Huron was led in scoring by Lawrence Rowly with 20 points. Skyline hosts a really good Waverly team at home next Tues night.
