Multiple Teams · Skyline Eagles Varsity Can’t Hold Up Against Dexter

Skyline Baseball finally got its season underway on Thursday at Dexter, after four early-season weather postponements.

The Eagles were blanked 6-0 in their opener, despite a strong performance by starting pitcher Jack Winger, who gave up only two runs in four strong innings of work, and an excellent defensive performance punctuated by a fantastic diving catch from senior center fielder Jack Lehker (photo above). On offense, strong Dexter pitching limited the Eagles to just two hits in the game, both singles, one by Darryn Davis, the other by Eamon Horwedel.
