Skyline got off to a hot shooting start against Bedford on the road going up 9-2. Bedford fought back the last half of the quarter first quarter making outside shots and Skyline ended the quarter up 19-15. The game would go back and forth over the first half of the 2nd quarter in a tight game. Skyline then was able end the 2nd quarter on a run over the last two minutes applying some full court pressure and Jack Williams made a couple 3’s and a Ryan Wade steal for a layup helped Skyline build a 32-21 halftime lead. Ryan Wade led the way in the 3rd quarter making 4 3-point baskets and Skyline used excellent half court defense to build the lead to 16 points to end the 3rd quarter. Skyline continued to pull away with a solid defensive effort in the 4th and finished with a 66-42 win.
Ryan Wade finished with 29 points on 10/19 shooting and made 8 3-point shots to go along with 4 steals and 4 assists. Jack Williams made his first varsity start and contributed 14 points and 4 rebounds making 4/5 3 point shots. DeSean Munson was solid with 10 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists and 3 blocks. Chris Cayton had 11 points on 4/4 shooting from the field and 2/2 from the free throw line along with 2 steals and 2 assists. Spencer Morgan had 2 points and 4 rebounds. Davion Pipkins had his normal solid defensive game. Very solid overall performance.
Skyline hosts Huron next Tuesday at home for the final conference game of the season.
