Skyline and Belleville battled on Friday night. Skyline was able to get a first quarter lead 12-8 on the strength of DeSean Munson getting 6 points inside and each team getting a feel for the game. The game remained close through the 2nd quarter with Skyline looking like it may pull away but Belleville was able to hit some big shots to keep Skyline with a 28-26 lead.

Skyline came out really hot to start the 3rd quarter. Kabir made a 3 ptr, Ryan Wade made a 3 ptr and DeSean Munson got a 2 ptr and Skyline quickly extended the lead to a double digit lead. Skyline was able to keep the double lead 52-42 heading into the 4th quarter.

Skyline was in foul trouble most of the game. Skyline then had three starters foul out during the 4th quarter. First with Kabir Bergin about 5 min left. Then Ryan Wade with about 4.5 min left. Skylines support players in Robert Malcolm Jr, Spencer Morgan (4 rebounds) and Davion Pipkins along with DeSean Munson and Chris Cayton were able to finish the game with ball control and getting the ball into paint to finish with big baskets an defensive stops.

Skyline was led by DeSean Munson with 33 pts and 10 rebounds on 14/16 shooting and 5/8 from the free throw line. Ryan Wade had 19 points while being in limited action being in foul trouble throughout and was 4/6 from 3 pt range and 6/9 overall with 3/4 from the free throw line. Chris Cayton added 8 pts w/2 assists and Kabir Bergin had 5 pts with 7 rebounds. Robert Malcolm Jr had a great game taking care of the ball and getting Skyline into offense and Davion Pipkins played solid defense throughout.

Skyline will look to continue to improve next Tuesday when hosting Dexter.
