Skyline vs Belleville was a battle of highly state ranked talented teams. Skyline played an exceptional game on both ends of the court to defeat Belleville 74-60 with a decisive victory going away in the 2nd half. Skyline methodically built a double digit lead late into the 2nd quarter through stingy half court defense led by Ryan Wade guarding MSU commit Gabe Brown. Belleville was able to hit on a couple possessions to narrow the gap to 6 points with about 12 seconds left in the half and Brandon Wade had a 3 pt shot rattle in and out to go up 9 which Belleville gathered the rebound with about 3 seconds left and dribbled toward half court and let it go only to see it go in before the half to cut the Skyline lead to 3 points 33-30. Skyline owned the 3rd quarter with a couple half time defensive adjustments to win the 3rd quarter 23-9 and build the lead to 56-39. Skyline continued to build on the lead to get it over 20 points in the 4th quarter and cruise into victory. Skyline was led by Brandon Wade, Jack Ammerman and Ryan Wade who all had 22 points on the night. Brandon added 5 assists and 2 rebounds. Jack Ammerman added 3 assists, 3 rebounds and 2 steals. Ryan Wade added 4 rebounds and 1 assist. Christian Knox, DeSean Munson, Darius Hall and Kabir Bergin added great team defense and rebounding support throughout the game. Skyline improves to 5-0 and will face Detroit Pershing next on Dec 28th in the Detroit Roundball Classic at Detroit Renaissance High School at 5:40 pm.
