Skyline was able to get 1st quarter lead 21-10 against Lincoln although it was not quite in sync offensively. Skyline had some uncharacteristic turnovers in the 1st half and did not shoot a great percentage but kept up the pressure defense to hold a 40-27 lead at half time. Skyline started the third quarter stronger and continued to build the lead throughout the 2nd half, switching up the defensive looks with better positioning, rebounding and settling in to a better rhythm offensively.
Brandon Wade had 26 points finishing 9 of 10 from 2 point range, attacking the basket to go with 6 rebounds, 9 assists and 6 steals. Ryan Wade was great on both ends of the court defending Lincoln’s Amari Frye and contributing 23 points hitting 5 of 11 from 3 point range with 3 rebounds and 2 assists. Jack Ammerman had 10 points and 5 assists including an outstanding move to end the 3rd quarter on a pullback jumper. DeSean Munson had 13 points with a couple thunder dunks with 7 rebounds and 4 blocks. Kabir Bergin had a great game with 6 points, 11 rebounds, 2 assists and 2 steals. Chris Cayton had 3 points and Charlie Fry had 2 points.
Skyline improves to 12-0, 5-0 SEC and will host Monroe on Friday.
