Monroe was aggressive and kept battling in the 2nd quarter and found some holes in the Skyline defense and narrowed the lead to 4 points and Skyline was able to convert on a basket to end the 2nd quarter to lead 35-29 at half. In a game where DeSean Munson was ill and unable to play, other players stepped up and contributed in a big way. Kabir Bergin had 14 points, 11 rebounds and 4 assists.
