Skyline opened up the season with a very solid win against a talented Novi team. Skyline was led offensively in the first quarter with Jack Ammerman making 3 three point shots and defensively by Brandon Wade and Ryan Wade who had to work to limit Traveon Maddox (19pts) and Jovanni Miles (19pts). Novi battled in the first half to keep the game to a 10 point Skyline lead. Skyline came out very strong in the third quarter with a couple highlight runs with multiple players scoring to get the lead to 19 points going into the 4th quarter. Brandon Wade led Skyline on the night with a great overall game including 17 pts, 11 assists and 8 rebounds. Jack Ammerman finished with 24 points, 6 assists and 6 rebounds. Ryan Wade had 15 points and 3 rebounds, DeSean Munson 8 points and 11 rebounds and Christian Knox 6 points and 3 rebounds. Skyline will host the first Ann Arbor Classic this coming Saturday at Skyline that features Skyline, Huron and Pioneer Varsity Boys and Girls teams all playing opponents. The Girls games are 10am, 12 noon and 2pm. For the Boys games, Pioneer plays Romulus at 4:00, Huron plays Woodhaven at 6:00 and Skyline plays Sterling Heights Stevenson at 8:00.
