Skyline was on the road at Saline on Friday and used a tremendous first half defensive effort to hold Saline to 13 first half points and take a 25-13 half time lead. In the 2nd half, Saline continued to battle and was able to keep the game within striking distance as they hit some big three point shots. Skyline was able to attack the basket and score with Saline to keep the double digit lead in tact.

Ryan Wade had a solid overall game with 23 points, 6 assists and 3 rebounds while making big baskets attacking the rim down the stretch. Spencer Morgan played many minutes while DeSean Munson is still sidelined with an illness and had a huge game. After not converting on 3 layups in the first half, Spencer was determined to not miss another and he did not. He converted 14 second half points which included 4 of 4 from the free throw line and was strong inside on the defensive end all not long totaling 12 rebounds and 3 blocks. Kabir Bergin played real well despite being in foul trouble and had 6 points and 3 rebounds. Davion Pipkins and Chris Cayton (5 rebounds, 2 points, 2 assists) continued to have great defensive efforts on Salines top scoring players. Rob Malcolm Jr contributed 7 big points and 3 rebounds and was solid on defense. Ashay Arora had a rebound, steal and assist and Jack Williams had 2 rebounds while giving solid minutes in the victory.

Skyline will travel to Huron next Friday night for another big conference game.
