Skyline traveled to Lansing Waverly on Tuesday and played hard from the start after a long bus trip against a solid Waverly team. Waverly took an early lead as Skyline struggled to convert baskets early on that it usually makes. Skylines defensive intensity kept it close to battle through the early part of the game. Then Skyline started using effective full court pressure defense to create some turnovers and really pushed the ball well through the end of the first quarter and whole 2nd quarter to build a 48-30 halftime lead.

The starting five was great throughout the first three quarters and we had great energy support from our subs. Brandon Wade finished with 20 points, 12 assists, 4 steals and 3 rebounds while being aggressive all night on both ends. Ryan Wade had a thunder dunk on a Waverly player in the 4th quarter to go along with 18 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 steals. Jack Ammerman was great in transition and on defense scoring 14 points, 4 rebounds and 4 steals. DeSean Munson continues to improve dramatically in the stats categories bringing great energy and athleticism to finish with 16 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks to go along with some really amazing dunks. Sophomore Kabir Bergin was exceptional today with 11 points and 4 rebounds going 3 of 4 from 3 point range.

Great overall win for the Skyline team to improve to 14-0 overall. Skyline looks to keep the momentum going vs Huron this Friday night at home.
