Skyline High School vs Ann Arbor Huron High School
3 27

The Skyline Boys Bowling made progress posting two of their top three games scores and top series score of the season versus their cross-town rival, AA Huron/Pioneer at Revel & Roll on 2/11. Unfortunately, they still came up short on their quest to capture the inaugural AA High School Bowling Legacy trophy for the battle of AA High School Bowling supremacy, losing 27-3.

Leading the way for the Eagles, with a team high 182 and personal best in match play, was Justin Chang. Alex Evans, Tim Clatterbuck and Colin Ratkowski all contributed by bowling at least 30 pins over their averages in the contest.

While the River Rats had 5 players bowl 200+ games in the match,, Skyline varsity boys were able to get three points with head to head wins from Colin Ratkowski, George Decker and Alex Evans.

Since the Skyline Boys squad lost to AA Huron/Pioneer earlier in the season, 27-3, they lost the 2018-19 season’s battle for Ann Arbor Bowling supremacy’s new legacy trophy, with a combined season total of 54-6.

The boys will use this as incentive for the 2019-2020 season when they hope to bring the trophy back to share the shelf with the girls varsity squad.

The Boys JV squad were unable to put any points on the board, losing to the River Rats JV squad 30 -0.

Leading the way for the Skyline’s JV team were personal best games from Mitch Russell with 159 which was also the JV match high and Yann Reichbart with a 138 and bowling two games that were both 30+ pins over his average.
