The Skyline Girls Bowling squad avenges their early season loss with a resounding 27 -3 victory over the River Rats from cross-town rival AA Huron/Pioneer at Revel & Roll on 2/11. This victory means that the girls get to take home the inaugural AA High School Bowling Legacy trophy for the battle of AA High School Bowling supremacy.

Audrey Gao was the main stand out for the match, leading the way with personal bests in both games and with a match high game of 187 and two game total of 357.

The girls kicked off the match with clutch bowling and pulling out wins in both Baker games by a combined 4 pins, giving them a 10 points to start out.

In the first game of head to head competition, Ankita Bose started out with 3 strikes in a row (A “Turkey” in bowling terms) (https://twitter.com/Skyline_Eagles/status/1095072588219498496) and ended with a personal best, 122, and winning a point for her team. Also winning points in the head to head. game one were Gabrielle Willacker and Audrey Gao. The team won totals for the first game for 2 more points, giving them a 15-2 lead going into the second head to head match-up.

In game two, the girls capped off the scoring with strong games and head to head match wins from Audrey Gao, and Jocelyn Dooley, with a personal best 138 that included 5 spares. Ankita and Gabrielle also won their head to head matches in the second game giving the team a dominant 27-3 match victory.

Despite their early season home loss to the Huron girls team, 22-8 on 12/19, the Skyline Bowling Eagle Girls 27-3 away win, gave them a combined season total of 35-25 versus the AA Huron River Rats and provided them with bragging rights and the AA High School Bowling legacy trophy for the battle of AA High School Bowling supremacy for the 2018-19 season.

Hopefully, next year the girls can repeat and the boys can get a victory over their River Rat rivals and bring the matching trophies back to the Skyline Trophy case.
